Delivery Experience

Melon works with various African governments to bring about positive change for their citizens using the Deliverology tools and approach. From helping senior public officials identify their priorities and define targets, to setting up and coaching Delivery Units, to building dashboards and organizing problem-solving sessions, Melon's work on the ground helps create a culture of delivery that results in tangible, meaningful change for citizens.

Melon worked alongside the President’s Delivery Unit on project funded by IFAD and the Government of Togo to boost rural entrepreneurship and create jobs. In the first year, she and the team worked closely to apply Deliverology tools to the project. Consequently, the number of entrepreneurs accessing finance increased by 87% over baseline. In year two, the team increased access by 365% over baseline.

Other Experience

Melon's background is in strategy, with a focus on the agricultural sector. Prior to joining Delivery Associates, she supported and led the development of 40+ major projects and strategies for the Ethiopian government, including: national value chain and system strategies for the sesame, chickpea, and coffee industries; large-scale mechanization efforts; school feeding programs; The Agricultural Commercialization Clusters, focused on rapid value chain development in agro-processing clusters; strategic grain reserves; procurement systems for USD 500 M / year fertilizer importation; and enhancing the capacity of the public sector, including support for nine policy sectors and associated ministries reporting to the Prime Minister’s office.
