Job Description

As the Learning & Development (L&D) Manager you will oversee and work to continually improve DA’s internal Learning and Development offering through designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our colleagues, fostering a productive and engaging work environment.

Only candidates who are currently based in Ireland or the UK - with existing work authorization - will be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Design and implement comprehensive training and development plans that address the needs and goals of the organization and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders and partners to identify training needs and develop scalable solutions across the company.
  • Oversee the creation and curation of educational materials and courses, including online, in-person, and blended learning environments for our consulting and central team colleagues.
  • Work in partnership with our knowledge team to incorporate project learning into curricula for colleagues
  • Manage the training budget and negotiate contracts with external training providers to ensure cost-effective learning solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, using relevant data and feedback to improve outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest training methods, tools, and technologies, integrating best practices into the learning curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain a company-wide calendar of educational events and ensure that all employees have access to necessary training.
  • Enable and facilitate professional development for colleagues
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of training specialists.
  • Report on the impact and ROI of learning and development initiatives to senior management.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a learning and development role, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of various teaching methodologies and tools, and technology's role in learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and familiarity with learning authoring tools (For e.g. Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond)
  • As mentioned above, only candidates who are currently based in Ireland or the UK - with an existing work authorization - will be considered for this position

Preferable Qualifications / Skills & Experience:

  • Professional certifications (e.g. CPLP, CTP,  CIPD Associate Diploma in L&D)
  • Experience of working within a consulting / social impact environment
